Whoa, Lunabear (the puggle/dog on the front of the seed packet)  just because you became a space cadet doesn’t mean you can mess with the brightness on the photoshop, but certainly means you can grow this out-of-the-world moon & stars watermelon, reaching up to 30 pounds with a beautiful dark green rind with speckled yellow stars and moons, encapsulating an absolutely sweet red flesh enough to drive all deadheads wild. Our absolute favorite and bringing a lunar size accomplishment as it grows!  

  -  Direct seed 1” deep, every 2 ft after the danger of last frost has passed in area with full sun                              check: almanac.com/gardening/frostdates-  Also, can be started indoors a month before last frost, make sure to have in pot at least 3” deep and have under strong lighting so doesn’t become lengthy and make sure roots are established, before gently transplanting                         –Plant/transplant in area with full sun with soil that is well amended with organic nutrients like worm castings/bat gunao                                                                                                        -  Germinating in 10-14 days, water in deeply, and let the soil dry out until the first 1” of the soil is dry when it the melon gets established. Make sure not to water too much, as roots will become soggy.     –Apply organic nutrients like bat guano or water in fish emulsion between waterings for maximum growth                                                                                             - Ready to harvest in approximately 100 days from direct seed. Minimum 15 seeds.
