A prolific banger ready for any stew or frying. It took us awhile to develop a taste but it is as tasty as our burgundy okra (go back to product “all” page but a little shorter but still prolific)

These 4-5” green pods okra are best direct seeded two weeks after first frost ( https://www.almanac.com/gardening/frostdates - thank you almanac) to ensure danger if a sneaky last frost. They can be started as transplants just be very carefully with the roots so don’t keep moving them to larger containers - would do well with biodegradable pots so you plant them directly in the ground - just make sure the plant is sturdy).

Plant one/two seeds 6” apart then thin to plants every foot apart or to your liking. Plant reaches 3.5-5ft tall so plant accordingly. Enjoys maximum sun and is extremely drought tolerant after a good soak so don’t plan on watering on the same schedule as tomatoes! Reaches maturity in 2 months, harvest frequently to avoid massive pods that decrease palatability and promote those beautiful creamy edible flowers. Message us if you have any questions!
