Boston Pickling Cucumber Seeds

$4.00

Crunch, crunch, crunch. No, I am not talking about the Cap’n; we’re growing the Boston pickling cucumber. An old heirloom dating back before the internet explorer and the US constitution, this high yielding pickler, with a light green bordering on a dark green with soft prickles reach 4-6” and even bigger if you forget to pick them! Just enough length for a pint size jar—boy oh boy you’re in for a pickling treat! Remember to sterilize your jars before and after if you aren’t doing fridge pickles. Note: these are not just for Boston Picklers but are a secular cucumber great for salad wherever you’re growing!

  • Reaching maturity in 75 days or a few days sooner, we recommend direct 2 seeds, 1/2” deep in fluffy soil in area with full sun—2 ft apart and water in deeply. Pinch the weakest seedling and make sure to apply organic fertilizers like fish emulsion or chicken manure when about four leaves show. We recommend trellising them but can sprawl on the ground, just make sure to avoid getting too much water on the blooms. Minimum 20 seeds.
